Monitoring

In a school environment, student wellbeing can be difficult to measure. And children don’t always tell us when they feel unwell or down.

Champion Life’s Wellbeing Monitor is a simple way to check-in with students from Kindergarten through to Year 8. With an early alert system, you can proactively support the wellbeing of students throughout the school.

Emojis make it fun and easy

Checking in with the Wellbeing Monitor takes just a few seconds. As each student checks-in, their personal emoji scale disappears from view. Only teachers can see what each student has shared.

Get moving for mental health

Over 80% of students report that their mood improves after being active. When children take the time to notice this difference, it helps them understand the link between movement and mental health, and gives them a lifelong tool to support their wellbeing.

“It’s nice to know how other people are Checking-in, because me and my friends talk to each other about it.”

“I 100% recommend Champion Life and especially at these times. It’s such a valuable classroom resource to give kids the benefits of being active and for teachers to get additional insight into student wellbeing. You would be crazy not to use it in my opinion.”

“It updates me if someone has checked in feeling low or a not as good as usual which it is good as means that I can can check in with them and just let them know that they are being listened to”

“I am a big fan of Champion Life. It encourages dialogue and discussion, especially through the wellbeing monitoring system. Without that, I think we would be floundering a little bit”

“Another benefit to the program is that we can see how the kids are feeling through the Wellbeing Monitor. Some children feel a bit shy about stating how they are feeling while at home, hence why the Wellbeing Monitor is the perfect way for them to submit their mood in their own private space.”

“I like how it's secretive, no one else can see it except for my teachers so I am always honest about how I am feeling. If I don't tell the truth the teacher won't know how I'm feeling and wouldn't be able to do anything.”

“It is so great that I’m able to look at the children's wellbeing score at the end of each week. You think they are doing alright until you are alerted that their score has dropped. From that I have been able to connect a school counsellor to work with some children that i didn't realise have been needing help. The kids are very happy to submit their emoji score each day opposed to telling me directly they don't feel so good.”

“One day I was feeling pretty sad and I clicked the sad emoji, but after I did a couple of Challenges I felt better and clicked the happiest one!”

“We like to use the Wellbeing Monitor to gauge where the kids are at during the day, but also to see how Champion Life has improved their mindset after the activity. The Wellbeing Monitor is important for us to see that progress and see how the kids are feeling.”

Teacher at South Lake Primary School
“The Wellbeing Monitor is great because it allows the students to have privacy. Sometimes they put on a cloak saying everything is fine when really they aren't feeling too good and won't discuss this until they feel as if they are in a safe, private and comfortable environment. For me to then be able to instantly track this and provide the students with the correct aid, makes Champion Life’s Wellbeing Monitor a really powerful tool.”
